About Me
Charles Franco Calabria grew up in New York City and its surrounding areas. He attended public schools and graduated in 1963.

Mr. Calabria joined the U.S. military and worked as a production specialist for “Armed Forces Radio” oversees. He received an MA in Urban Planning at the University of Colorado.

He lived and worked in San Francisco and stinted as a movie extra during the nineteen eighties and nineties.

In 2002, Mr. Calabria moved to southern California and took film courses at UC Riverside. He became a member of a writers and filmmakers group and scripted and directed his first movie short, IN THE GAME. It was completed in the spring of 2007 and previewed at NewFilmmakers in New York City in May of the same year.

In 2006, Mr. Calabria became a resident of Portland, Oregon and enrolled at Northwest Film Center, School of Film, receiving a Certificate In Film Studies in October of 2010.

His documentary film short, MOMENT TO MOMENT is currently in the film festival circuit and has screened at NewFilmmakers, in New York on June 1, 2011. The film has also won a Jury Award as Best Student Film Documentary Short from The American Pavilion, Emerging Filmmaker Showcase and screened both in Cannes, France in May of 2011 and in Los Angeles at the DeMille Theatre in August of that year.

Mr. Calabria is currently living in San Diego, California.
